FaceGuard Terms of Service

1. Eligible content

You may only upload images that you own, that you have permission to protect, or that depict you.

• Do not upload images of other people without their consent.
• Do not upload illegal content, including content that sexualizes minors or depicts non-consensual intimate imagery.
• Do not upload content used to harass, defame, or impersonate someone.
• Do not upload content to evade moderation, watermarking, or attribution on another platform.

2. What FaceGuard does

• Applies blur regions to selected parts of images.
• Strips identifying metadata from protected outputs.
• Embeds an invisible watermark and a small visible owner tag.
• Helps make AI misuse harder, but does not guarantee an image cannot be scraped, modified, or used by an AI system.

3. Watermark and accountability

• Every protected image is tagged with an identifier tied to your account.
• We may use that tag for abuse investigations.
• We may disclose watermark accountability information in response to lawful requests.
• Removing or attempting to remove the watermark to obscure provenance violates these terms.

4. Acceptable use

• Do not overload, reverse-engineer, or probe the service for vulnerabilities.
• Do not use FaceGuard to train or evaluate models designed to defeat watermarking, blur protection, or content moderation systems.
• Do not use FaceGuard for unlawful, abusive, or harmful activity.

5. Termination

• We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these terms or applicable law.
• We may retain limited records where needed for safety, abuse prevention, audit, or legal compliance.

6. No warranty

• FaceGuard is provided "as is".
• We do not guarantee that protection layers will work against every AI model, platform, scraper, or modification.

7. Changes

• We may update these terms from time to time.
• Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
